Our College focuses on the holistic development of students. As a sequel to this, equal emphasis is laid on sports and games along with academics. Students are encouraged to participate and excel in sports in order to provide relaxation, channelise their energy, nurture competitive spirit, enhance team spirit and achieve leadership qualities.
AKT Engineering College has taken great care to appoint a well qualified and experienced Physical Education Director with whose unstinted effort the college has been winning laurels in Sports and Games in both intramural and Inter University competitions.
‘Sports and Games’ is an area much sought after by the student community of this college. Playground and Equipment for outdoors and indoor games facilities are available for meeting the enthusiasm of such students and faculty. Men and women vie with each other to participate in games like Cricket, Foot ball, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Ball-Badminton, Badminton, Chess, Throw Ball, etc and in various athletic events.
Students of this college have achieved remarkable feats as Winners and Runners-up ranging from the Inter-collegiate in games and athletic events. Every year, we celebrate “College Day” function for honoring the best sports students.
Many of our students have won medals and cash prizes at Zonal and Inter-Zonal levels and State level trounaments in Throw Ball, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Chess,Swimming,Kabbadi and Foot Ball.

Our sports complex is a marvel in itself boasting of cricket grounds, volley ball courts, basket ball courts, Throwball courts, kabaddi and athletic tracks. Another added facility is indoor sports complex with a fully equipped gym. The atmosphere and surroundings of the institution are conducive for developing sports personalities and sports activities.
